Age Range: 9 Years
Location: Mountlake Terrace
Since getting Roger from a shelter in 2013, he’s been our companion and couch cuddle-bug. However, we recently welcomed a baby into the home and the transition has been difficult for him. We are hoping to find a safe home for Roger where he can continue to thrive.
Roger knows basic commands and is crate trained. He is smart and a quick learner, especially when there are treats involved. Before the pandemic, Roger stayed at home during the day while we went to work. We have been working from home and Roger spends most of the day napping on his dog bed or curled up on the couch. He loves a daily walk, but at nine years old he is not going to overrun the house with energy.
Roger needs to take it slow with new people and would not do well in a house with children. He has nipped before (never bruised or broken skin) when his body language is ignored. He also is not dog friendly. Roger is an affectionate and loyal dog, but he keeps his circle small.
We are looking to place Roger in a home with a patient and experienced owner. We love him dearly and know he can thrive in a new environment.
