Penny does not do good with loud young children. She currently lives with 2 dogs and 1 cat. She territorially marks due to the male cat that entered the home. She also claws carpet despite various cat scratching posts and cat trees, calming collars and calming sprays. We believe the scratching is due to the stress of being around young, rambunctious children. She does play with the other cat but the pooping outside of litter box started when the other cat came in. She is very skittish, but she is friendly, however she is an independent cat who will come up to you for loves but it is not too often. She likes to hide during the day and come out at night. She does fine with the dogs and has no issues with dogs once she gets used to them, as long as they aren’t nosey and get up on her face constantly. She would be perfect for an elderly person or any adult without young children. Respectful older children would be okay but again she is not very social. She eats dry any brand hairball care cat food freely throughout the day/night. Gorgeous cat, just neede a calm environment. Pretty low maintenance when by herself. Our house is just too chaotic for her and she needs a stress free environment.
