I am emergency fostering two sweet pitbulls but I am unable to foster long term or adopt. I am renting and not allowed to have dogs and one of the cats in the house is aggressive to dogs.
Behavior: Arrow (F) and Axel (M) are incredibly sweet dogs who need a loving home. They are good with kids and cats, their previous home had two cats and a rambunctious 3 year old who grew up around them. They are kennel and potty trained, understand some basic commands, are free fed, and haven’t shown any aggression or resource guarding around food. They could use a lot of work with leash manners as they just went on their first ever walk yesterday. We live on a busy street with a bus stop at our front door and they haven’t been phased by the noise or people walking by no obsessive barking or whining. They play well together (loud but well) and are learning what toys are and how to share. Arrow will try and set boundaries and Axel will listen majority of the time but he is just a big ‘ol sweet dummy and doesn’t realize some times and needs a reminder. They both show good stress reduction behaviors while playing too (i.e shaking off).
Medical: We don’t have up to date details on their vaccines or medical history but we know that Arrow was recently spayed this summer. She also has some skin lesions near the base of her tail that she can’t quite reach and a lick granuloma on her left front leg. They both have fleas. We haven’t noticed any other medical concerns with Axel besides a few scabs and scratches from playing rough (he’s white and every little thing is visible).
